Welcome to another newsletter from PSS-Europe.

A number of assigments have finished in the last month, which means that PSS-Europe has a wide base of resources on the bench at the moment. Project Management Office, Project and Programme Management associates all have experienced working for large blue chip organisations. Project managers with both business and infrastructure experience are available having completed a data centre deployment and a mailbox migration assignments.

PSS-Europe has started a consultancy assignment with a new customer supporting a large software deployment. Consultants are working on developing process best practice for the customer and managing client interaction. A second piece of consultancy work is still awaiting the start date from the client.

The main challenge at the moment remains getting on to company PSLs. First actually finding the person responsible for managing the list, then getting to talk with them and finally getting to see them. All we need is the opportunity and then results speak for themselves.

One of the consequences of an uncertain economic climate is the impact it has on employees.
In a recent survey of 200 senior managers in UK businesses half of them said they're concerned that their organisation's response to the market conditions is confusing the workforce and damaging the perceived sincerity of their leadership team.
As a result, nearly two thirds are concerned about a negative impact on morale, while 72 per cent point to the increasing difficulty of gaining "buy-in" from employees. ... Read more..

The Chancellor, George Osborne stood up in the House Commons to detail the largest series of public spending cuts seen in decades.

Mr Osborne told MPs that the reductions in expenditure, totalling almost £83 billion, were needed to draw Britain "back from the brink".

The comprehensive spending review, which has been the most important in generations, would eliminate the UK's structural deficit by 2014/15 and would see national debt falling significantly over the same period. ... Read more..
