Project Manager – Engineering Test Centre Facilities Build
Location: Loughborough/Newcastle
Salary/Rate: To £75,000
Our client if looking for someone with extensive commercial experience of managing large £1m+ mechanical engineering projects to over see the equipping of an engineering test facility. The project manager will be responsible for the delivery of all aspects of the test facility build from specification through procurement to completion of installation. The role will work closely with Corporate Services for financial, contract and legal and State Aid (public sector sponsored experience will be an advantage). Construction industry experience of building legislation/regulation, health and safety and managing sub contractors will be required. Systems engineering experience and specifically related to wind turbine manufacture would be very beneficial. Management of engineering test rigs also an advantage. All normal project manager responsibilities apply: plan, budget, stakeholder and supplier management, reporting, communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
The successful applicant will hold an engineering degree or equivalent and be prepared to work 50:50 between Loughborough and Newcastle and able to travel within the UK or globally if required.
