Salary: £46,000 + benefits

Role Outline
Applications Support for a major high street retailer, responsible for supporting all aspects of client's eCommerce sites during and out of normal office hours.
Role Objectives
Summary of Key Tasks Required:
Responding to issues that affect the availability of the eCommerce sites
Monitor availability and customer experience
Management of assigned internal and external developments
Undertake ad-hoc assignments as required
Programming, testing and implementation of new software
Ensure that current service levels are met on an ongoing basis
Liaise closely with other IT support teams to ensure synergies
Maintain relationships with other teams within the Businesses
Assign tasks to third party support teams
Provide support to line manager.
Ensure routine duties are carried out on time and with appropriate diligence
Key Competencies Required for the Role:
Good communicator
Self motivated and good team player
Strong customer service ethic
Excellent Java programming skills (J2EE)
Knowledge of Websphere application server
HTML, Javascript
Knowledge of relational database preferably DB2
Good ability to understand new concepts and technology
Experience of XML, iSeries, Endeca and Hybris desirable but not essential
