Location:- Bournemouth Salary:- to £27,000 + benefits
The role is for a rapidly growing, privately-held information technology service, support and consultancy firm headquartered in the United Kingdom.

Duties
· Providing support to the service desk team and infrastructure/project teams.
· Supporting the internal and customer systems.
· Improving the internal and customer systems.
· Maintaining the internal and customer systems.
· Creating procedures, policies and documenting systems.
· Assisting with and at times delivering customer and internal projects.
· Planning projects.
Required Experience
· Worked in an IT support / engineering for a minimum 4 years.
· Working at a 2 nd and 3 rd line level (servers and desktop) for at least 2 years
· Working for a service provider or a company with at least 200 users.
Required Skills
· Windows Server Administration – 2003/2008/SBS, Group Policy, Backup Exec, permissions, etc
· Windows Desktop Administration and Troubleshooting
· Server specification, trouble-shooting and build.
· MS Office troubleshooting : Desktop and Terminal Server
· Networking – TCP/IP : DNS : Routing : WAN Troubleshooting : LAN Setup : VLAN
· Project Management – server installations : system migrations : office moves
· System design – small office
· Exchange server administration and troubleshooting
· Terminal Server setup and troubleshooting
· Vmware (ESX/ESXi) – administration
Desired Skills ( 2 required)
· SQL server setup, administration and troubleshooting
· Firewall build, configuration and management
· ITIL knowledge

· Degree / HND

Desired skills 1) Could you build a Windows domain from scratch for 100 users, including AD, DNS, Group policy, etc?
2) Could you design, build and install an Exchange 2003 or 2007 environment for a company of the following sizes?
10 users
- 500 users
3) Could you setup and administer/manage an SQL server for a customer?
4) Have you and could you confidently plan and undertake (IT wise) an office move for a 100 user company?
5) Could you design a firewall rule base for a company with say 20 internet facing servers of different types, i.e. Terminal Servers, web Servers, etc?
6) Could you link offices together using VPN's?
