Job Description:
Ability to direct complex project (e.g. more than ten people) and manage different phases of project and co-ordinate project teams.
Responsibility for handling complex projects and assistance to project management and clients.
Responsible for compliance with budget, quality and timelines.
Also has specialized technical or practical expertise in one or more areas:
Mobile Telecommunications,
OSS (Operations Support Systems) – Network Configuration management, Fault Management areas.
Assistance in formulation and consolidation of requirements to client management entities involved (in particular for complex requirements which impact several different specializations and associated processes).
Puts forward scenario with assessment of impact on information system, estimate of business benefits achieved and return on investment, support of solutions put forward.
Fully accountable for the projects profitability and return on investment.
Shall ensure quality assurance and QMS compliance during delivery.
Produce and maintain the Project Definition Report
Produce and maintain detailed project plans
Run the Project Review Board; review progress against plans - report on, and chase, progress against the plan, budget and requirements.
Report progress to the Project Steering Group and/or Business Owner
Control the project Budget and the full detail behind actual costs spent, costs to complete and any deviation from benefits stated in the Business Case.
Raise Purchase Orders and approve invoices.
Works in partnership with key stakeholders to ensure the project delivers within the agreed time, cost and quality parameters, in line with KPIs
Manage Suppliers and other work stream managers to deliver agreed systems/services, in line with approved plans
Follow best practice project management methodology as used within client's organisation; follow the agreed Change Process, and interface with appropriate governance frameworks to ensure the project meets relevant gating criteria
Maintain the Project Control file (on Clarity) and document register
Manage risks, escalating appropriately to relevant operational owners; ensure that assumptions and issues are assessed, controlled and resolved
Co-ordinate and manage dependencies with other projects, Suppliers and work streams
Identify and work through any legal or regulatory issues
Maintain security and confidentiality
Manage change control via the PCR process
Manage Operational Acceptance, and the handover of the deliverables to the appropriate Operational departments
Close down the project on completion
Exposure required:
Good Mobile Telecoms knowledge
Relevant experience as Project Manager for Telecom/OSS projects (8+ Yrs)
