Department: Programme/Project Management Leads a cross functional team to scope, plan and deliver multiple projects in a fast moving and dynamic organization.
Manage Project to time, cost and quality goals.
Works with business representatives to create an Operational Plan, ensuring company financial goals are addressed by the projects to be delivered
Leads the organization and third parties in ensuring project solutions are fit for purpose and that business case targets can be achieved
Delivers projects in line with the approved company metholdogy (BDP Process)
What else it involves
- Works with senior stakeholders to identify opportunities to meet business goals. Champion programme goals throughout the business
- Plans project delivery to achieve strategic aims and balances this with the delivery of identified quick wins - managing multiple projects at any point in time
- Ensure effective stakeholder management across the company, including regular communication of project status to stakeholders, business owners & senior management
- Manages cross functional relationships at a senior level within the organisation, Builds commitment to project goals.
- Demonstrates a passion for ensuring “business readiness” when new projects are deployed. Always ensures a robust “Go to Market” plan is in place and signed off by key stakeholders
- Line management of project team – including assisting in the recruitment and development of more junior team members.
- Adheres to all relevant company processes/methodology – makes recommendations to improve working practices and shares ‘learning'. Ensures that all project documentation is kept up to date and stored in a central location.
- Works with other Lead Project Managers/Programme Management to understand the wider delivery picture within Sales & Marketing. Able to identify synergies or interdependencies and takes appropriate action
- Creates and shares project information, tailored to meet the needs of the stakeholders. Ensures that project information is always up to date and relevant. Maintains a log of project communications
- Understands and works effectively within the identified behaviours for 3
- Manages relationships with third parties, challenges costs and deliverables and escalates independently if challenged by poor delivery.
- Supports and makes a regular contribution to the building of the Wholesale, Programme & Operations Team
- Responsible for end to end budget management
- Deputise for Programme Manager as required
The skills we are looking for
Must-have:
• A proven track record in delivering projects on time, to budget and agreed quality goals within a fast paced changing environment
• Proficient in Relationship Management – ideally within a multi stakeholder environment
• Extensive experience in project management
• Ability to manage the delivery of complex multiple projects concurrently
• First class 3rd Party Supplier management skills
• Ability to Manage effectively in a fast pace, changing environment
• Excellent people influencing skills
• Team based approach
• Enthusiastic and ‘can-do approach'
• Proficient in Project risk & issue management
Nice-to-have:
• A Professional qualification in a project management discipline
• A background working in an internet led organization or the telecoms sector
• Degree qualified
