WORK EXPERIENCE
08/08 – 02/09 Avenir Telecom, Head of Marketing London
Responsible for all aspects of marketing at this £50m mobile telecoms airtime and hardware distributor for over 500 B2B mobile and IT resellers. Changed focus from ‘marketing Avenir' to also helping resellers market themselves. Developed an email marketing engine (to be used by partners), executed an IT reseller lead generation and conversion campaign (trade advertising, events, training material), redesigned the monthly pricing magazine, set up a new PR structure and coached an inexperienced team to become motivated high performers. Ran incentives and held reseller training with RIM, Vodafone, O2, Orange and T-Mobile.
02/08 – 06/08 Research in Motion (BlackBerry), Senior Marketing Manager (contract) Slough
Created an evidence-based marketing strategy for Vodafone Global Enterprise (OpCo servicing top 140 global accounts), developed eco-system of applications partners and helped Vodafone create a Blackberry sales incentive programme.
01/07 – 02/08 Vodafone UK , Channel Marketing Manager (contract) Newbury
Launched built-in mobile broadband offer with Dell, prepared launch with other OEMs and IT resellers. Prepared launch of Blackberry 8310 Curve (with Sat Nav), incl teaser campaign (seeding, pre-ordering etc.) Handled all marketing aspects of setting up concessions in PC World stores, incl. device ranging, merchandising, training, field marketing and POS. helped set up first store and process for roll-out of subsequent stores. Developed online components of Small Business tariffs campaign
05/04-12/06 Marketing Consultant & Entrepreneur London
Distributed yoghurt smoothie (part-time) and worked with e-commerce and ad agencies (Real TSP, Columns Design, The Team) and management consultancies (Hambalt, Mindbench, Freshminds) on a project basis.
Milli Brasilli: Set up distribution in London (over direct 100 cafés and delis, one p/t employee and one distributor) and opened new channel (university canteens) in Germany & Austria for this dairy drink. Helped reverse sales decline, pan-EU brand registration and prepared sale to a Benelux dairy.
Online marketing and strategy projects include:
Adams Kids: Launch marketing for new website of UK's largest childrenswear chain. Responsible for generating high-conversion traffic through pay-per-click, affiliate, e-mail, viral, direct mail, partner and on-site marketing.
Achieved 12-fold sales increase and recruited over 100k e-newsletter subscribers within four months, on a launch budget of less than 10% of sales
Thresher Wine: Business plan and investment case for stand-alone e-commerce operation. Marketing plan, logistics partner selection, revenue modelling and financing/ownership options
Metropolitan Police : Audience research and strategy to overhaul website. Consultations and focus groups to develop audience requirements, user journeys and a project plan to improve the Met's local interaction with other agencies and the public
Other online projects include online marketing for Racing Green, Mountain Warehouse and the London Stock Exchange, agency selection processes for the FSA and the Home Office (COI)

Champion: Business plan and investment case for store roll-out of new sports bookie targeted at young, affluent and educated audience. Operations plan, funding requirements, store locations
Home Office: developed strategy and business plan for the ‘Invest to Give Fund' to support fundraising by small charities. Devised research plan, ran focus groups and survey, and developed financial model
Other strategy projects: Investment analysis and commercial due diligence on companies in insurance, healthcare products and private hospitals, pan-European investor relations campaign for T-Online. Analysis model to choose locations and store concepts for Nokia India

MasterCard: Led team of three consultants to assess UK online credit card market. Analysis included competitor benchmarking, consumer behaviour, economic factors and technology innovations
Ministry of Justice: Developed current website as well as a future vision for the Ministry's internal and external web activities. Customer research and usability tests, designed & built websites and merged 70-strong online teams into one team of 10).
