Key Programmes / Projects:

Programme Manager, Supplier Performance Management, Vodafone

• Personally selected by the Business Development Director to improve Amdocs' performance on this under-performing major programme and so rescue the $multi-million relationship with Vodafone.
• Introduced new Programme Management framework and Status Reporting, successfully engaging with stakeholders across 10 countries and overcoming resistance through positive engagement.
• Developed and made excellent use of the crucial relationship with the Programme Director, taking on board suggestions while making pro-active suggestions for improvements.

Key Achievements

• Secured 10% global performance improvement within a year through introduction of process changes and engaging Amdocs & client stakeholders across 10 countries in the changes.
• Highly praised by the Programme Director – “exceeded expectations in a very short time...always thought what else could be done to gain further improvement”.

Programme/Project Manager, BT Openreach

• Led the rescue of programme involving 300 people overall, reaching urgent agreement with ten 3rd party suppliers (mostly offshore in India ) on an achievable delivery plan.
• Thanked by key BT client for my contribution to this remarkable turnaround.
• Successfully rescued the programme, delivering 29 of 30 OSS/BSS components within deadline.
• Established and ran the ISDN2 product War Room and held daily review meetings to hold all parties to the new delivery schedule and instantly resolve any fresh issues.

PMO Manager, Virgin Media

• Managed the PMO for this £5m business transformation programme under highly pressured circumstances, accountable to 3 senior managers and with no dedicated resources to draw on.
• Ensured strong progress was being made by the 6 Project Managers involved, producing weekly status reports to stakeholders.
• Organised regular project board meetings.

2004 – 2006: Programme Manager, Vodafone Group

• Managed £2m Global Programme, working across the entire lifecycle from concept through procurement to implementation.
• Defined the programme strategy, selected suppliers and defined SLAs.
• Managed c.25 resources, both internal and 3 rd party people, developing the programme for use in over 30 countries.
• Established governance procedures for 600 stakeholders.

Key Achievements

• Achieved cost savings of £200k through RFI/RFQ and SLA negotiations.
• Saved £120K/y by streamlining operations using Clarity project & portfolio management and saving 500 hours per month.
• Exceeded 99% system availability against 95% target through vigilant management of SLAs.

• Completed numerous assignments in project management & recovery; compliance; systems development; and PMO.

Key Assignments

Orange , Thailand : Supported the PMO for this $500m launch of Orange mobile in Thailand ; selected vendors for systems integration work, achieving up to $1m savings.
Lucent Technologies, Italy: Restored client confidence in this under-performing project by managing both 3 rd parties and customer relations; led a team of 16 experts from 3 rd parties; recovered $2m QA test & systems integration spend; increased efficiency while reducing staff by c.20% by implementing newly efficient procedures.
Viag Interkom, Germany: Co-ordinated work across development, test and production areas to ensure timely minor and major IT releases.
AT&T Unisource Group, Netherlands : Managed a major change programme across 5 companies in 4 countries, including Y2K compliance.
