Location: Loughborough Salary/Rate: £55k + benefits
Department: Carbon Capture and Storage
Over the next ten years our client will select, commission, fund, and manage the delivery of technology programmes. Funds will be invested in a small number of key technology areas with the greatest promise for deployment on the basis of their projected contribution to low carbon, secure energy supplies.
Going forward, the intension is to engage participants in projects in the way that is most appropriate to the Programme; there will not be one standard approach. Our clients Programmes are ambitious and large-scale. The overall aim is to accelerate development of projects.
The aim is to work with the best academics, systems and technology groups of all sizes, worldwide, to develop low-carbon technologies for initial commercial deployment in the UK.
Role responsibility
Custodian of our clients investment in the various Carbon Capture and Storage projects.
Ensure project is delivered to specification
Ensure the suppliers are delivering as efficiently as possible (client getting value for money)
Ensure latest and best leading (bleeding) edge technologies are being utilised
Management of issues relating to the solution being implemented
Act as stakeholder for our client on the various projects
Manage the professional relationships with all stakeholders involved in the project
Ensure all health and safety rules are adhered to on-site
Candidate skills & Attributes
Candidates must have experience of research, development and demonstration or
technology design
project management combined with a degree in chemical engineering or a related discipline and have chartered status or equivalent experience. Must be able to demonstrate that they have successfully managed and delivered projects with budgets in excess of £10m within a relevant engineering discipline.

The delivery assurance manager will be responsibility for our clients investment through the full project life cycle from technical evaluation of proposal through to implementation. The role will include supplier selection and include the negotiation of contracts, payment terms and IP. The management of all senior stakeholders including those from Industry, Local and Central Government. Knowledge of stage aid regulations would be desirable. Experience of managing risk, quality and HSE management.
Must be willing to travel within the UK and occasionally abroad.
